it was the big hoo haa of Susan Boyle, the 47 year old scottish lady who surprised everyone by her stunning performance of the song from Les Miserables, "I Dreamed a Dream", at "Britains Got Talent 2009" that led me search for more songs from the musical from you tube...and found the set of videos of the 10th Anniversary Concert...and want to share a couple of the songs that are now my favorites....





this being one of ming's favorite musicals, he insisted that i should consider watching it...but no...as much as i love the songs and the singing was beautiful...the story line and settings is just so sad, i might really have to bring a few boxes of tissues into the theatre....

ever since she was re-homed, we have visited a number of times during her first year with the new family to check on her, and made sure she was ok etc. and after that first year, we would still visit her on her birthday...to give her a birthday treat of smoked pig ear...and just to have a time to celebrate and remember our time together....but this year, ming and i were talking about visiting when it was closer to her birthday, and decided against it...we really think it is time to really move on from this chapter of our lives, not only for us, but Amy as well as she is now in a wonderful home and environment, surrounded by a family that love and dote on her...she is living a much better life now than when she was with us :)

it is Amy's birthday tomorrow...i made the mistake of reading her old blog and going thru her photos...i especially loved these ones...of gabe and his old furry sister...



i always thought that gabe was too young to be affected when we re-homed amy...or when pikachu the hammy passed...then he always tell us that he misses amy...sometimes even asked me if we could have her back, which i said no, once done, cannot look back. as kris is now getting older, she has been asking to keep pets like hamsters, rabbits, kittens and puppies...which knowing papa ming, sure not approve..but we still joke about the possibility anyway, and teased kris to ask papa ming...gabe sometimes joined in the joke, said yes to having a pet...but one evening, we had a playdate at Wendy and Peter's home...and auntie Yeeju brought along their new pet hamsters...the kids had a great time, esp. kris, playing with the hamsters....that night during our car ride home, kris kept asking to have hamsters as well...but gabe, suddenly became so serious, and said no, he did not want any pets....when we asked him for the reasons, he said, "i dun want to see them die, i will be sad..."....till now, his reason unchanged...he loves animals, he loves hamsters, rabbits, dogs and cats but he does not want to have any....till now, he will still tell me that he misses amy...he tells his kakak about amy as kakak has never met amy, it was way before her employment with us...he also tells kakak about pikachu, how he was the one who named the hamster...etc etc.

it was heart-breaking to hear him talk about it...esp. when he says he misses amy and asks if we can visit...

but our hearts ache...after every visits when we had to leave....i really think....it is time to move on....

so here...just want to wish my dear babygirl a very happy 8th birthday...amy girl....

heard this song during my uni days from an old children worship album by Vineyard Music, when i was attending Randwick Baptist Church...this song was shared by our housechurch leader, the album belongs to her...the little girl who sang solo for this, her voice was just so pretty, pure and full of innocence...it just captured your heart....have been looking high and low for this album for the longest time with no success...just want to note down the lyrics...as a reminder...

went to watch Marley & Me last night...rekindled my love for Jennifer Aniston :) and now am tempted to watch this other one by her and a whole lot of other good casts....



has anyone seen it already? izzit good and worth that 1.5 - 2 hours plus away from the kids in the cinema? i have to say....Jen and Ben Affleck kinda look cute together as a couple :p

i am not a movie/cinema lover...unlike my hubby who loves to watch anything and everything (rubbish inclusive) in the cinema...i dun...but i have read the book that made me laughed so hard till i cried...and i remember how bad the ending made me cry....i have heard that they were making it into a movie...



heard so much from friends about it...am so tempted...i hope they are still showing in the cinema during the school holiday in march when i will have some day off...and have a movie date with the kids :) but until then...enjoy the trailer....

yes...long long time ago when i was in my teens during my highschool years...my sis suffered from some fibroic cist burst incident and she was too stubborn to go to the hospital...as she is a GP herself with 1001 medicines including different type of painkillers, and she was too much in pain to inject herself, she asked me to do so for her...but i hated needles...i get weak knees at the sight of needles...but i had no choice but to gather up my courage, and did alot of practise by injecting waters into oranges...so much so the oranges were so full of liquid they leaked...like have you ever seen a "bleeding" orange....

my uni days...i cannot remember which particular year but gosh i enjoyed my uni days the best :)
