Trailer ~ Marley and Me

i am not a movie/cinema lover...unlike my hubby who loves to watch anything and everything (rubbish inclusive) in the cinema...i dun...but i have read the book that made me laughed so hard till i cried...and i remember how bad the ending made me cry....i have heard that they were making it into a movie...

and now that the movie is finally here :)

heard so much from friends about it...am so tempted...i hope they are still showing in the cinema during the school holiday in march when i will have some day off...and have a movie date with the kids :) but until then...enjoy the trailer....

OOH you must watch. Ask your helper look after the kids and go.

BY and I went to watch. The marraige is oh-so-real and I CRIED ALSO.
had a ad-hoc movie date with ming last night to watch this show...the things the wife said about marriage and being parents...so true! both ming and i so identified when she said that!

glad we did not bring the kids...forgot about how much i cried when i read the ending of the book when Marley passed...gabe already said that, although he loves dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits, he does not want to have one in the family coz he does not want to see them die...and he was serious when he said that, caught me and ming by surprise! kris on another hand, has been begging us for a hamster or a rabbit!
I can understand what Gabe means. Maybe you can explain to him that the animals may eventually pass away, but he can do his bit to make sure that the life they lived on earth is good - good master good life.

The marraige bit got BY and me surprised too. Seldom is hollywood ever accurate about life after kids, except this once :)
the part where marley's walking on the road halfway out of the car is DAMN hilarious! although it's been criticised for no climax no plot, i really liked it quite a lot for its heartwarming nature. the kids will love it... until the last part, of course. :~( i do hate crying in cinemas, sigh. but it's a good show for young families and dog-lovers. should catch it.
watched it last night...can't wait so long till the school holiday lah hehe :) so had a last min movie date with ming...

have you read the book before? it is much better with more details on all the things that happened with the dog in the movie :)

i am glad we did not bring the kids lah, the ending was sad and i shed abit of tears in the cinema hehe...paiseh!

gabe already said that, although he loves dogs, cats, hamsters and rabbits, he does not want to have one in the family coz he does not want to see them die...imagine if he were to see the show and that ending...just confirm his belief....

kris on another hand, has been begging us for a hamster or a rabbit! so i am trying to convince both ming and gabe to allow us girls the pleasure of having a couple of hamsters :)
i only briefly flipped through the book at borders to take a look at all the pics of marley, but haven't actually read it... don't wanna go through the pain of reliving marley's death again! sob sob.

it sounds like gabe has quite a developed and "practical" view of pets and life/death already! but i think it is good to have a pet lah. a rabbit sounds good. :)
