Merry Christmas to all...

have been thinking of this song I have heard from many years ago at church...when the church i attended then was into Vineyard Christian music...and came across this song written by one of my favourite song writers...

Lord, Come This Christmas
(Andy Park)

Away in a manger, as a child He lay,
Shepherds came to worship and adore Him.
Deep in the meadow, the angels sang,
Glory to God in the highest and peace to men.

He came at Christmas, to bring His light,
To a poor and lowly manger, He came that night.

As You came to the manger , You have come to me,
You have shown the brightness of Your glory.
Now as I worship, I have just one plea,
As You came that Christmas, Lord please come to me.

Lord come this Christmas, come bring Your light.
Won’t You come this Christmas, to my home and to my heart.

====================

my favourite carol...which i have learnt the first year i was "born again" aka become a Christian and joined the church choir to perform a Christmas item to the church...gawd i cannot remember what was that called...a series of Christmas carols and songs...among all the songs, this was my favourite...and remains as one special carol in my heart...

Oh holy night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend.

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.

Words by Chappeau de Roquemaure
Translated by John S. Dwight

wish everyone a very Merry and Blessed Christmas :)
